3 Weeks old...

I can't believe it time has gone by really fast! Colten is already 3 weeks old!!! AND he was already up to 10lbs 4 oz at his 2 week appointment! Well he has been doing really good. He is still just eating, pooping and sleeping...the sleeping is my favorite right now. Only cuz i can get things done. BUT i do love it when he decides to stay awake and play! ok not so much play but look around. We are working on the playing bit.

Well it was our 1st Father's DAY! So I decided to take Colten down to Kiddie Kandids to get some pictures taken for Eric for fathers day...and can you believe it...Colten was awake for the whole thing!!! Man he looks like a little Eric..

He would not look up for the life of him when we were trying to take this one. Oh well what can you do with a little guy that can't really see past 12" right?

HAPPY FATHERS DAY DADDY!

Eric didn't know we took the pictures so it was a nice little surprise for him and now he can have them at work to show off his little guy!

Maybe next time Colten will be a little less grumpy looking once he learns how to smile and look at mommy!

40 weeks and 1 day later...

The arrival of Colten Porter Elliott...9 lbs 2 oz 21inches long! He graced us with his presence May 24th at 1:05pm. I was SO excited to FINALLY have my little baby boy! And let me tell you the wait and sleepless nights were well worth it! Even though the sleepless nights have continued...

Colten already found his hands...they are way better then a pacifier...not that mommy agrees. I'm hoping we can break him of that habit. So far he really likes the back of his hands i guess it could be worse right?

Daddy with his baby boy and couldn't be happier! He spends a lot of time holding and trying to play with him. Eric already wants him big enough so he can have a fishing buddy. Hmm i think it will be a while for that. Sorry daddy!


Ah taking a nap one of his favorite things to do other then eating and pooping!

Well we are all home and doing ok, Colten has a little bit of jaundice so we have to go to the hospital every morning to get tested. He doesn't so much care for them pricking his little foot to get a blood sample. I can't seem to blame him i would hate it too! In fact i hate just watching them do it. It's all i can do to just grab him and run from the mean nurse.

Well other then that things are going good we are all trying to adjust to the new addition.

I'm HOOKED!!!

Ok so as most of you all know...I'm not a HUGE reader...BUT can i tell you i sure don't mind listening to a good book with my commute and all it seems to help a lot. But the search for finding a good book that will catch my interest really takes a lot. The search has ended. I have a group of friends and we get together and all they were talking about was this guy Edward. Me being the nosy person that i am had to find out what they were all goo goo for....come to find out a vampire in a book...WHO reads about vampires? So after a few times of hearing them talk back and forth about a book i had to investigate....mind you I'm not a reader and i wasn't about to buy the cds, BUT i was in luck, my sister rented the cds from the library. So i borrowed the first book from her when she was done...

And i was HOOKED! Who knew i would like a book with Vampires! BUT I DO! So after finishing the Twilight that i HAD to get the 2nd one....But the wait for it at my library was just too much and My sister Mandy was already on the list for the 2nd and 3rd ones at hers so i had to patiently wait until she got it and listened to it....man I'm sure impatient!

and of course that one leaves you hanging and wanting the next one....Good thing i got both from her at the same time...i just went on to the 3rd one after finishing "New Moon"

Well i finished this one over the weekend, Yes i spent a Wonderful sunny day indoors to listen to a book...keep in mind i am 39 weeks prego and get really HOT! So spending my day in the great indoors was sounding a lot more inviting!

Well and as you have guessed it i am on the edge of my seat wanting to listen to the forth and final one...one glitch in this it doesn't come out until Aug 2nd. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? MAN! Well so I'm debating...do i pre-order this one so i can get it right when it comes out or do i wait and try to get on the list at the library. The wait for the 2nd and 3rd one was just too much. i think I'm going to have to buy it and then eventually i think I'll buy the others so i can have them all. hmm yep i think I'm going to have to do that... still thinking about it though.

THE TOPPER...They are making a movie of the first book Twilight, It comes out in December!

AH man! more waiting! Good thing I'll have a little one to keep me busy!

Speaking of DONE!!!

OK I've reached my limit! I'M DONE! OK i only have a week until my due date, well less then that more like 4 days,(I'm due this Friday 5/23) but this kid just doesn't seem like he wants out! Little does he know...I'M DONE!!!! I want my body back! And i know he's just getting bigger and bigger! I really think that sometimes I'm going to have 20lbs baby! OK but really i wouldn't be surprise if he's 10lbs. Well i guess wish me luck! hopefully the next time i get to write I'll be writing about my wonderful baby boy!!!

Stuck in TIME!

Have you ever thought the more you wanted to do something the longer it took to get to that day or that point??? Well I'm there right now! I've been prego for 35 weeks and 5 days...yes that means only 4 weeks and 2 days left of this adventure. But for some reason i feel like I've been trapped in time and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It's like Christmas all over again...that seems to be the LONGEST night for me. (yes I'm still like that for Christmas)

So i started tracking my time by Fridays...only 5 Fridays left until my due date....but that seems even longer then 4 weeks and 2 days, so i may have to stick with that. Well i have started working Tuesdays and Fridays at home. Which has been really nice. I seem to be getting a lot more work done then i do at work...hmm funny how that happens. PLUS i have the added bonus of being able to go and meet Eric for lunch! I think I could get used to this!!!!

Well i guess I'm sure that once this little guy does get here I'll just want things to slow down...funny how things in life go.

Jackson was GREAT!

So i forgot to tell about or little trip to Jackson....We had a BLAST! All except for the fact that i was up all Thursday night with well lets just say the bathroom was my best friend and i even thought about not going, but after a few hours of sleep i was feeling a lot better so we were off! We got to Jackson Friday evening and just hung out. I think we were all a little tired from the drive...who knew that sitting and doing NOTHING would make you so tired. The lack of sleep from the night before may have had a factor in that but i always seem to be tired after driving for a long period. But the drive over all was good i only had to stop and pee once, mind you i tried to make sure i wasn't drinking much because my 1 oz bladder can't really handle much!

Well Sat morning! We woke up and had breakfast at Bubba's yummy! And then we headed over to Snow King Mt. The weather was great nice and sunny and well a little chilly so we bundled up in our snow gear! We walked around a bit and then just watch the snowmobiles attempt to make it up the hill. AH it was very fun to watch the sleds tumble back down and get stuck! I wish i could have gotten a picture of it but we just watched most of it from the jumbo screen. After kicking it for a while just watching we went to shower and get ready for the hockey game! It was a fun game but would have been a lot more interesting if there were good fights! Fun times were had by all and about this time my lovely little sunburn on my face decide to make it's way out....oh well it was worth it...note to self if you are around snow and lots of sun you will get sunburnt ...hmm good to remember next time.

5 weeks and 4 days and counting...

Well I'm am 34 weeks and 3 days...and yes I am counting down the days! And it sounds even closer when i say only 6 more Fridays! It's not that I've had a hard pregnancy...it's just getting to the point were i would love to sleep a whole night without having to wake up to pee 1 oz to wake up again to pee a little more or to wake up to adjust because a part of my arm is asleep. AND it would be great to have my ribs back all to my self!!!

OK but most of all I'm just really excited to see this little guy! Just to make thing feel a little more real, because now it still sometimes doesn't feel real, more just like a bad tummy ache that is out of control that I can't take anything for!!! But over all i really can't complain I've had it pretty good...no morning sickness or any other type of sickness, well dose retaining water count??? Hmm probably not.

Hmmm....well I guess that's all for me for now.
